I just wanted to share some photos I took in Gaza in 1995 (some have seen these before) …
and this one at Jalazone refugee
camp near Jerusalem I have often wondered how many of these kids are still alive.
They were so friendly and full of life, and there was optimism in the air in spite of decades of setbacks.Often adults I met would make the peace sign and say “Do you believe in peace? We do!” I think they thought I was from the United Nations, as most foreign visitors were.In Gaza there was less optimism; they had suffered a lot more and were
completely cut off from the world. The problems have escalated catastrophically since then.
