ALONE WITH EVERYBODY
The flesh covers the bone and they put a mind in there and sometimes a soul, and the women break vases against the walls and the men drink too much and nobody finds the one but keep looking crawling in and out of beds. flesh covers the bone and the flesh searches for more than flesh. there’s no chance at all: we are all trapped by a singular fate. nobody ever finds the one. the city dumps fill the junkyards fill the madhouses fill the hospitals fill the graveyards fill nothing else fills.— Charles Bukowski (via mskelseyclaire)
HeartBeatBox: Outside from Inside

On the way home from Oz, the LaLa Land dirigible made a stop at Eustace’s home place.
It was all smiles on the trip home but once they got back on British soil everything turned grey again, and it was back in the box for Eustace.
Not that there’s anything wrong with grey, or being in a box.
As he climbed back in, Eustace said “Yes, I had a wonderful holiday but it’s always good to get home.”
Romance and its discontents, on classic New Yorker covers.
And unfortunately I recognised a bit of myself in that one
A cruel but fair observation although I would argue that I carry the weight more around my waist than on my legs
Ratbikes are the ultimate distilled evolution of motorcycling
“Below:- The seating arrangement leaves a lot to be desired”
Cloggo, you’d have to be on the bones of your arse!
Don’t expect Kahlila to ride that thing.
The Royston Vasey Abandoned Building Society
The Royston Vasey Abandoned Building Society (Expedition Leader Kahlila Gibran ) had another strange experience when we were photgraphing the inside of the Old Glue Factory. This young lady started to materialise before our very eyes. She had got as far as this when she stopped. “Bugger” she said “I’ve run out of ectoplasm”
We had still have no idea what Kahlila was getting us into when we joined.zz
And that is not the only weird phenomenon.
Some ghost keeps coming along and typing zz after your posts, Cloggo.
And spookier than that … I have tried to get into my old cabinets a couple of times lately only to find myself locked out.
Nothing computes.
Poltergeists?
The audacity of hype
Palestinian journalist Ramzy Baroud cuts through the bullshit and empty rhetoric on the Middle East … … Even in Cairo, he had the audacity to lecture Palestinians, the very victims of Israel’s brutal occupation, which is armed and funded by US money.
“Palestinians must abandon violence. Resistance through violence and killing is wrong and does not succeed. Now is the time for Palestinians to focus on what they can build.” We must note that the US government continues to make these demands of Palestinians, ignoring the fact that Israel’s reign of terror has never ceased, including Israeli violence against Palestinian non-violent resistance in the West Bank. Still, Obama did state that “The United States does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements. Israel must also live up to its obligations to ensure that Palestinians can live, and work, and develop their society.” Alas, the Obama administration faltered on its demand of a complete Israeli freeze, and is now harassing the ineffective leadership of Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank to return to the negotiation table without conditions. In addition, the hope of ensuring that “Palestinians can live, and work and develop their society,” is nothing but a pipedream, considering that Palestinians in Gaza teeter between chronic malnutrition and starvation. We cannot forget the fact that the siege on Gaza would not have been possible without US support. So before we giddily gather to discuss Obama’s legacy the next time another round number is celebrated on our television screens, let’s remember that for an Iraqi father, frantically searching for his son’s remains in a Baghdad street, numbers matter little, whether even, odd, round or in any combination. A massacre is a massacre, and a war of choice is a crime, any day, any time.
