How many years is it since 1972?
Well over 35, isn’t it, and that’s how long ago I saw them live in NZ.

Here they are on stage a couple of years ago and still sounding, effortlessly, like the band I loved way back then.
A very durable band with a durable sound.
They’ve changed musicians and styles many times but the core of harmonies and material is (and was) uniquely and distinctively Steeleye Span.

The Big Bambooly

That’s what he calls himself on Flickr
and he’s based in Brighton, England.

Night photography and carnival scenes a specialty.

Lots to admire; I just picked out a few.

If there’s a better blog than this on Tumblr I’ve never seen it.
If I knew who writes “Fresher Hells” I’d tell you.

If I thought a snippet from her writings would do her justice I’d place it here:

But obviously you need to read her posts in full.
So click the pic or header and go there.

Hard to know where Glenn Gould ends and Bach’s Goldberg Variations begin — they are fused in such a wonderful way.

It’s been a hard week’s night here but this put a smile on my face.

A big smile!

Red’s other home, or new home, will take shape here at Tumblr (click pic to inspect). This is great news, as there’s a love story involved and some real nest-building going on but nothing to barf at like babies, I don’t think.

This gal, with the gorgeous smokey southern drawl, is also the most hospitable of hosts and what we call a consummate story-teller, as her StumbleUpon readers know very well.

Non-stumblers passing by these words might like to click this and check out her other well-appointed home as well.
