The Hiroshima bomb killed an estimated 250,000 people, yet the massacre is seldom referred to in the West; the anniversary is ignored.

Where are the images of death and destruction that could shape the attitudes of new generations? They were suppressed.

This website claims the US imposed heavy censorship in the aftermath of the bombing. Should we be surprised?

As a 12-year-old in New Zealand I was taken in a school group to see Peter Watkins’ documentary about an imagined nuclear attack on England. The War Game impressed the horrors of nuclear war on all of us.
However, within a couple of years, I believe, The War Game was off the school curriculum and banned.
