Tumblarity explained (and rejected)

Tks for explaining it all, Ellie.
I know you were only guessing but your insights always enlighten.
I had been a bit put out that my Tumblarity dropped to about half when I didn’t feed the beast for a couple of days (or some other reason I haven’t figured out), and no amount of
cajoling and posting has been able to get me back up there. In fact when I went to a lot of trouble a couple of nights ago and wrote something long and elaborate that took hours, it acted as though it never even noticed. So thanks for putting it in perspective. I did get a frisson of excitement once though when I noticed I was on the list of top Aussie Tumblrs. Well, top 300 or so. And in my earliest forays into Tumblr I looked at a lot of logs/blogs that top their categories. I came to the conclusion pretty much that Tumblarity counts mechanical action, such as reblogging and inserting pictures. So it’s a mug’s game, for sure.
