From a large collection of New Zealand landscapes,
mostly in the Central Otago area in the south.

Of course I didn’t really appreciate any of this when I was a
teenager — though Central Otago had such a breathtaking
variety of landscapes you couldn’t get bored there.
We went there on holiday often and it was
especially beautiful at Easter, in autumn.

But, perversely, in the larger scheme of things I was more
blown away by the Canadian Rockies … and years after my visits
to Canada, I still crave the northern forests while taking these
jaw-dropping NZ landscapes for granted.

It often takes a foreign visitor to really see it, and this
photographer, Peter Sundstrom, is from Australia but now
firmly established in what he calls paradise.
